About the TDI Congress

The present Congress on Intelligent Design in the Natural Sciences, to be held in Santiago, Chile, in December 2026, has as its primary objectives to disseminate the scientific proposal known as Intelligent Design Theory (IDT), as an explanation for the high complexity observed in the physics of the universe and the biology of living beings, in addition to connecting a community of thought based on IDT, which enables the sharing of ideas, methodologies, and knowledge that promote new approaches to understanding reality in the Natural Sciences.

The Congress will explore cutting-edge work in the field of IDT, in areas such as molecular biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, paleontology, cosmology, physics, and the philosophy of science, among others. The Congress will include presentations on the application of intelligent design to laboratory research, as well as an analysis of the academic realities faced by IDT researchers in their institutions and during their postgraduate studies, and strategies to address them.

Although the main focus of the Congress is the review of an epistemological proposal in science, based on Inference to the Best Explanation, it will also address the implications of Intelligent Design Theory on people's worldview. Participants will benefit from instruction and interaction with prominent researchers and academics from different areas of the Natural Sciences and the Philosophy of Science.
